Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults on the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and create timely, accurate care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document them clearly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate excellent outcomes
• Monitor patient status, intervene as needed, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Support unit initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-first work environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or Compact RN licensure (LPN candidates considered where applicable)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred
• Prior acute care or med-surg experience preferred; travel experience a plus
• Ability to work overnight shifts and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and patient-monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Proficient documentation and charting practices (EMR experience helpful)
• Team collaboration and effective communication with patients and staff
• Adaptability to varied patient acuity and changing priorities
