Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning to promote comfort and safety
• Support nurses with procedures and treatments while maintaining patient dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification valid in New Mexico (T-CNA designation acceptable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Previous clinical experience preferred but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of infection control and patient safety principles
• Ability to measure and document vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Skilled in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
