Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility support and fall prevention measures
- Perform routine tasks such as vital signs, feeding assistance, and toileting support
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff
- Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe care environment
- Support residents' emotional and social needs by offering respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- T-CNA certification preferred (as indicated in the job posting)
- Previous CNA experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and required pre-placement screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding)
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Familiarity with basic charting and electronic medical records
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
