Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, intensive end-of-life nursing care for patients in the inpatient hospice unit
• Perform thorough assessments and use critical thinking to manage complex symptoms
• Implement individualized care plans focused on comfort, dignity, and patient goals
• Educate and support patients and families, helping them understand care goals and feel confident in caregiving
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated physical, emotional and spiritual support
• Document care accurately and communicate changes in condition in a timely manner
• Serve as an on-call resource during assigned on-call shifts to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid for practice)
• Experience or strong interest in hospice, end-of-life care, or symptom management
• Comfort and competence working night shifts and participating in a monthly on-call rotation
• Excellent assessment skills, clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Compassionate communication skills for patient and family education and support
