Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and lead efficient, intuitive rooming workflows to keep clinics running smoothly
• Obtain and update patient histories, reconcile medications, and document accurately in Epic
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy responsibly and with patient comfort in mind
• Administer medications via IM, SQ, and oral routes following clinic protocols
• Monitor vital signs and assess pain, escalating concerns to providers as needed
• Support urology-focused care including Foley catheter insertion, clean catch instructions, and referrals
• Manage referrals and coordinate care across specialties to ensure seamless patient journeys
• Practice isolation precautions and contribute to a safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active CA LVN license required
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinical experience
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• IV certification and proven phlebotomy proficiency required
• Epic charting experience required
• Flu vaccination required, no exemptions or declinations allowed
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Interest in temp-to-perm opportunities is a plus
• Experience in Urology and wound care strongly preferred

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent
• Active California LVN license
• BLS (AHA or ARC) and IV certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Epic electronic charting and efficient documentation
• Advanced, intuitive rooming techniques for high-volume outpatient flow
• IV therapy, blood draws, and phlebotomy skills
• Medication administration (IM, SQ, oral) and medication reconciliation
• Foley catheter insertion for male and female patients
• Vital sign monitoring, pain assessment, and infection control practices
• Patient education, history-taking, and coordinating referrals
• Experience caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
