Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive admission assessments and create individualized nursing care plans
• Deliver physician-ordered interventions and evaluate patient responses promptly
• Serve as primary nurse and assume charge nurse duties to ensure high-quality patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate consults, discharge planning and follow-up
• Obtain specimens, document findings accurately, and escalate changes in condition to providers
• Provide patient education, vaccine administration, and disease prevention counseling to promote health literacy
• Assist with emergency response preparedness and float to areas of need such as Outpatient or Emergency Room

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska OR multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) licensure
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Prior inpatient nursing experience preferred (no specific years mandated in posting)
• Ability to perform charge nurse duties and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting/transferring patients within 20–50 lbs range) and sustained periods of standing/walking
• Must comply with background checks and required employment declarations per federal regulations

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred)
