Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation treatments that get patients back to the activities they love
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate inpatient and outpatient care when needed
• Document progress clearly and efficiently in the facility electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and return-to-activity plans
• Participate in rotating weekend call and assist with transitional care as required

Qualifications

• Current Colorado physical therapy license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent clinical degree preferred
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic, sports rehabilitation, and general rehab; some inpatient experience preferred
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and patient-education skills
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently in a smaller mountain community

Education

• DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) preferred; or equivalent entry-level PT degree with active state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthopedic manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Sports rehab progression and return-to-sport planning
• Functional mobility assessment and gait training
• Familiarity with documentation practices and common EHR workflows
• Ability to triage and coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient-centered care in a team setting
