Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs and develop tailored therapy plans
• Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions to help students meet IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the multidisciplinary team to support student success
• Prepare clear progress reports and IEP documentation to track meaningful student growth
• Provide consultation and strategies to classroom staff to support speech and language access across the school day
• Participate in meetings and help shape individualized educational plans that make a difference

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) — required
• Colorado SLP license — required
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certificate — required (candidates may start with pending CDE)
• Experience or interest in school-based SLP service delivery
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Student-centered assessment and goal-setting
• IEP development and progress monitoring
• Familiarity with common school-based speech and language disorders
• Experience with classroom-based therapy strategies and push-in/pull-out models
• Ability to communicate therapy goals and progress to teachers and families
• Comfort with documentation and meeting school compliance requirements
