Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients using standardized methods such as fall risk and gross motor assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
• Manage an active caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality documentation in NextGen EHR
• Provide patient and caregiver education to improve function, reduce fall risk, and support long-term outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab staff to coordinate comprehensive care
• Perform outcome tracking and productivity expectations while maintaining professional standards of care

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist eligible to practice in Maryland (state license required)
• Minimum 1+ years of clinical Physical Therapy experience; position is not open to new graduates
• Comfortable managing outpatient caseloads and productivity expectations (clinic indicates average caseload around 55 visits/week)
• Experience with NextGen EHR or similar electronic medical record systems preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred or willing to obtain

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthopedic rehabilitation skills: Achilles tendonitis, ACL and meniscus injuries, rotator cuff (non-surgical), post-op back pain, fractures and stress fractures
• Neurological rehabilitation skills: CVA (stroke), brachial plexus injury, Parkinson's disease, degenerative neurological conditions
• Skilled in fall risk assessment and gross motor function evaluation
• Case management and caseload prioritization for adults, adolescents, and geriatrics
• Strong documentation skills in NextGen EHR and comfortable with productivity expectations
