Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients using standardized methods such as fall risk and gross motor assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
- Manage an active caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality documentation in NextGen EHR
- Provide patient and caregiver education to improve function, reduce fall risk, and support long-term outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab staff to coordinate comprehensive care
- Perform outcome tracking and productivity expectations while maintaining professional standards of care
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist eligible to practice in Maryland (state license required)
- Minimum 1+ years of clinical Physical Therapy experience; position is not open to new graduates
- Comfortable managing outpatient caseloads and productivity expectations (clinic indicates average caseload around 55 visits/week)
- Experience with NextGen EHR or similar electronic medical record systems preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred or willing to obtain
Knowledge & Skills
- Orthopedic rehabilitation skills: Achilles tendonitis, ACL and meniscus injuries, rotator cuff (non-surgical), post-op back pain, fractures and stress fractures
- Neurological rehabilitation skills: CVA (stroke), brachial plexus injury, Parkinson's disease, degenerative neurological conditions
- Skilled in fall risk assessment and gross motor function evaluation
- Case management and caseload prioritization for adults, adolescents, and geriatrics
- Strong documentation skills in NextGen EHR and comfortable with productivity expectations
