Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality speech-language therapy services for children birth to age 5 in ECSE center-based and community preschool/childcare settings
- Assess communication needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in line with school requirements
- Collaborate with ECSE teams, teachers, and caregivers to integrate therapy goals into daily routines
- Support early intervention and school-readiness through engaging, evidence-based therapy
- Participate in team meetings, IEP discussions, and family conferences as needed
- Maintain professional documentation, attendance tracking, and timely communication with the school and agency
Qualifications
- Active Oregon SLP license or eligibility to obtain Oregon licensure
- Experience working with birth-to-5 populations and familiarity with ECSE/early childhood settings
- School-based experience preferred, including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and family-centered coaching skills
- Ability to pass background checks and meet any school district requirements
- Reliable transportation to community preschool and childcare sites as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood speech and language development and assessment
- Skill designing play-based and functional therapy interventions for young children
- Familiarity with center-based and community preschool/childcare service delivery
- Ability to write clear, school-friendly documentation and service notes
- Strong teamwork and consultative skills when working with ECSE teams
- Comfort adapting therapy to varied environments and routines
