Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support dining assistance and monitor meal intake per care plans
- Document resident status and care provided in clear, timely notes
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to follow care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control practices
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-approved) required
- Available and able to work the night shift schedule (6:45 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and resident assistance
- Accurate vital signs measurement and reporting
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Clear, concise documentation and basic charting skills
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal communication
- Team collaboration and following established care plans
