Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident behaviors, communicating changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Maintain accurate documentation and chart resident care clearly and promptly
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and coworkers
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and support resident dignity
- Assist with meal service and feeding support when needed, ensuring nutritional needs are met
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
- Ability to work the evening/2nd shift schedule, 2:45 PM - 10:30 PM
- Comfortable assisting with personal care, mobility and transfers
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to complete facility-required health screenings, background checks and onboarding paperwork
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing care and resident assistance
- Safe transfer and lifting techniques
- Charting and documentation best practices
- Infection prevention and control
- Effective, respectful communication with residents and team members
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
