Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility while preserving dignity
- Monitor residents for changes and promptly report observations to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and fall-prevention practices
- Document care accurately and maintain up-to-date resident records
- Collaborate with the care team to create comfortable, person-centered experiences
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state registration required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic nursing tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, compassionate, and resident-focused approach
- Previous facility or long-term care experience helpful but not always required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and infection control practices
- Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Clear, respectful communication with residents and the care team
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to follow care plans and standard precautions
