Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers, keeping safety front and center
- Take and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support daily living activities to promote dignity and independence
- Document care accurately and clearly in resident records
- Communicate warmly with residents and families to build trust and comfort
- Collaborate with nurses and therapy staff to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- State CNA certification for Maine (or ability to transfer/obtain) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
- Comfort with routine physical tasks (assisting with transfers, repositioning)
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of basic resident care and activities of daily living
- Infection control and proper use of PPE
- Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
