Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility needs
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the care team
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and resident responses
- Support a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
- Must meet state CNA licensing requirements or be eligible for reciprocity
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with resident care
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care standards and infection control practices
- Ability to perform ADLs safely and with dignity
- Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, observing changes, documenting care
- Team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
