Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, monitor patient condition, and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to maintain dignity and comfort
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families to improve their experience
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and activities of daily living assistance
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Basic infection control and personal protective equipment use
- Clear documentation and effective communication with clinical teams
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to multitask in a busy care setting
