Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics
- Help with meal assistance and ensure residents are comfortable during mealtimes
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with coworkers
- Promote a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and supporting patients through the night
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and comfort techniques
- Assisting with ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Infection control and proper PPE use
- Clear documentation and effective communication
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
