Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their daily living needs
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with dignity and respect
- Observe, record, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to coordinate great care
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of service
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Current basic life support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical aspects of care (standing, lifting, assisting residents)
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Resident-centered care and dignity-focused approach
- Assisting with ADLs and basic patient hygiene
- Taking and documenting vital signs and observing clinical changes
- Infection control procedures and safe handling practices
- Clear communication and respectful bedside manner
- Reliable documentation and time management
