Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents, preserving dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Document resident status and care provided in a clear, timely manner
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Participate in team huddles, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or eligible) — state-specific certification required
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable providing hands-on resident care and assisting with ADLs
- Basic vital signs measurement and recognition of common clinical changes
- Familiarity with documentation standards and patient charts
- Good communication skills with residents, families, and staff
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Teamwork mindset and willingness to learn and follow care plans
