Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, promoting dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding)
- Support mobility and safe transfers, using correct body mechanics
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Document care provided and resident observations accurately and promptly
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Engage residents socially to support emotional well-being and quality of life
- Collaborate with nurses and care team members to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Previous experience caring for older adults is a plus
- Comfortable working an overnight/night shift schedule
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass any required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Fundamentals of infection control and resident safety
- Accurate documentation and observational skills
- Reliable time management and ability to follow care plans
- Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff and families
