Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics for resident safety
• Document resident care and observations clearly in the chart to ensure continuity
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — or actively pursuing certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced long-term care or skilled nursing environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus; new grads and experienced CNAs encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of patient care and ADLs
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Basic infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Strong observational skills and the ability to report changes in condition
• Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans and instructions
