Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility
- Take and accurately record vital signs and report any changes in condition
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in patient records and care plans
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and family members about patient needs
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Contribute to a positive team culture by collaborating and pitching in where needed
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and personal care tasks
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and safety procedures
- Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and hygiene best practices
- Ability to assist with transfers, ambulation and use of mobility equipment
- Good observational skills to notice and report patient changes
- Teamwork and time management in a fast-paced care environment
