Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living with compassion and respect
- Provide hands-on personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming) to promote dignity
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support mealtime and mobility needs, ensuring safety and comfort
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
- Valid state-required licensure for Pennsylvania or ability to obtain prior to start
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Compassionate approach and strong communication skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills and comfortable assisting with personal care
- Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
- Ability to follow care plans and document care clearly
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
- Time management and dependable attendance
