Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations accurately and promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Communicate changes in resident status to the nursing team to ensure timely care
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and comfort measures while promoting resident dignity and independence
• Document care and interventions clearly in the chart and participate in shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift and cover weekends as scheduled
• Pass a background check and drug screen as required by the facility
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong patient-focused ethics

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs, transfers, and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Infection control, hand hygiene and standard precautions
• Clear communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs on night shift
