Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Support nursing staff with vital signs, accurate documentation, and timely reporting
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build rapport with patients and families — deliver kindness and clear communication
• Participate in care team huddles and contribute observations to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required) — must meet state/agency credentialing standards
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening and required immunizations
• Basic patient care experience preferred; confident assisting with ADLs and mobility
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital signs monitoring and basic charting
• Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
• Safe transfer and positioning practices
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
