Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to acute care patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support nursing staff by monitoring patient status and reporting changes promptly
• Perform essential clinical tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, and basic wound care as directed
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation in patient records and handoffs
• Contribute to a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Prometric Hawaii Certification — REQUIRED
• Previous acute care experience preferred and helpful for fast-paced units
• Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts and every weekend
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per client policy
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Prometric Hawaii Certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and ADLs
• Knowledge of acute care workflows and basic clinical procedures
• Familiarity with infection control best practices and medical safety standards
• Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and clear charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
