Location: Bowie, Maryland
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Day shift (days of week not specified)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and reporting changes
- Assist residents with mobility, feeding, grooming and bathing while promoting independence
- Document resident care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and family members to enhance person-centered care
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident needs
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant program and current GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
- Good documentation and time-management skills
- Teamwork and effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to person-centered care
