Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers and safe ambulation
- Monitor residents and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and timely in facility records
- Support residents' emotional well-being through respectful, patient-centered interactions
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a team environment with good communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and assistance with ADLs
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of infection control and hygiene best practices
- Safe resident handling and mobility assistance
- Accurate documentation and time management
