Location: Lanham, MD
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Day shift (days of week not specified)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting with dignity and compassion
- Support safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of care, following facility policies
- Help create a warm, respectful environment by engaging residents in conversation and meaningful activities
- Follow infection control, safety protocols and meal assistance procedures consistently
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet immunization requirements
- Comfort working in long-term care/rehabilitation settings and collaborating with a care team
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
- Previous experience in a nursing assistant role is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and person-centered care
- Skilled in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
- Ability to observe and report changes in condition accurately
- Good time management and prioritization in a busy care environment
