Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Baltimore, MD
Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Meal break: 30 minutes)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility while maintaining dignity and privacy
- Monitor residents’ condition and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
- Accurately document care, vital signs, and observations in resident records
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition and hydration
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe, clean environment for residents
- Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver excellent resident-centered outcomes
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent state-recognized credential
- Prior experience as a Nursing Assistant or GNA preferred but new grads with strong skills welcome
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and any required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting with mobility
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic personal care
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Reliable documentation and communication skills with the care team
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with older adults
- Teamwork mindset and flexibility during busy shifts
