Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Monitor residents’ condition and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
• Accurately document care, vital signs, and observations in resident records
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition and hydration
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe, clean environment for residents
• Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver excellent resident-centered outcomes

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent state-recognized credential
• Prior experience as a Nursing Assistant or GNA preferred but new grads with strong skills welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting with mobility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic personal care
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Reliable documentation and communication skills with the care team
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with older adults
• Teamwork mindset and flexibility during busy shifts
