Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift (specific days not specified)

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition; report concerns promptly
- Support mobility and safe transfers, promoting independence when possible
- Assist with mealtime service and special diet needs while encouraging good nutrition
- Maintain accurate documentation and care charts with attention to detail
- Follow infection control procedures and ensure a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver person-centered care
- Engage residents with respectful communication and meaningful interactions
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Proof of required immunizations and negative TB test per facility policy
- Clear background check and drug screen as required by facility
- Ability to lift/transfers per facility policy and safely assist residents
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification / state registry (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of ADLs (activities of daily living) and geriatric care principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
- Basic charting and documentation skills, attention to detail
- Infection control and standard precautions knowledge
- Ability to follow care plans and physician/nursing instructions
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
- Compassionate patient-centered approach and cultural sensitivity
