Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, monitor changes, and report concerns promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility assistance with attention to dignity
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate with the care team
- Follow care plans and participate in care conferences to improve resident outcomes
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through attentive, respectful care
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — VT or NH licensure acceptable
- Ability to work the 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM evening shift and commit to a 5-day local schedule
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or able to obtain quickly)
- Reliable, professional, and able to pass required background checks and screenings
- Strong communication skills and a resident-centered approach
Education
- Completion of an LNA training program or equivalent certification
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care techniques
- Proficient in documenting care and communicating with interdisciplinary teams
- Understanding of infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights
- Compassionate bedside manner with solid observational skills
- Team player who adapts well to facility routines and charting systems
