Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging (head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis) with care and precision
• Execute CTA protocols and CT Stroke protocol quickly and accurately to support urgent ED patients
• Operate and optimize the Siemens Somatom Plus 128-slice CT for a range of studies
• Document procedures and patient data in Meditech and archive images in FUJI Synapse PACS
• Provide excellent patient care — position patients safely, explain procedures, and manage comfort
• Work independently to troubleshoot scanning issues and maintain workflow during variable ED volume
• Cross-cover basic X-ray duties when needed to keep the imaging department running smoothly
• Communicate effectively with ED staff, radiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to prioritize studies

Qualifications

• Active KSBHA license (required) — candidates without this will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of imaging experience (CT experience preferred; 2-3+ years is a plus)
• Comfortable working independently and able to problem-solve in a busy ED environment
• Experience with Siemens CT scanners is preferred
• Ability to back up X-ray duties when the XRAY tech is in the OR
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and FUJI Synapse PACS is a strong plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT protocols including CTA and stroke protocols
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Somatom Plus 128-slice CT
• Practical knowledge of Meditech EMR workflows and FUJI Synapse PACS image management
• Strong patient positioning and radiation safety awareness
• Ability to prioritize ED studies and work calmly under variable volume
• Problem-solving mindset and independent decision-making skills
