Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations accurately and efficiently using best practices
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment with attention to safety and comfort
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure high-quality imaging and timely results
- Maintain clear, professional communication with patients to explain procedures and reduce anxiety
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards at all times
- Document procedures and patient information in the electronic health record accurately
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate appropriately to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in radiologic technology / radiology
- Current state radiologic technologist licensure (recommended to be active for Wichita, KS assignment)
- ARRT certification preferred or equivalent credentialing encouraged
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred where applicable
- Comfortable working independently on overnight shifts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree or equivalent preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and dose reduction principles
- Familiarity with PACS and electronic health record documentation
- Patient-centered approach with strong communication and empathy
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
