Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation while maintaining dignity
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with feeding, toileting, grooming, and personal hygiene in a respectful way
• Document care accurately and promptly to ensure continuity and quality
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• GNA certification (state-approved) — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and health requirements as needed
• Previous long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus but caring attitude and a willingness to learn are highly valued

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited GNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Accurate documentation and attention to detail
• Effective teamwork and communication with residents and clinical staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
