Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams including CTA, body, and neuro studies with accuracy and compassion
• Operate and troubleshoot GE and Toshiba CT scanners to keep the department moving
• Start and troubleshoot IVs as needed for ED patients to ensure timely imaging
• Use Epic and McKesson PACS for charting, ordering, and image management
• Collaborate with radiologists, ED staff, and the CT team to prioritize trauma and ER scans
• Maintain radiation safety practices and keep your personal rad badge (must provide your own)
• Respond to call/standby requests within the required 30 minute window when scheduled
• Participate in department-specific orientation and follow documentation and protocol standards

Qualifications

• Current WA State Department of Health License for Radiology (required)
• ARRT Registered Technologist in CT (ARRT (CT)), Certified CT Technologist
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years CT experience listed on the job (description also notes at least 1 year CT experience)
• Comfortable with ER-style/trauma imaging and a typical pace of ~30 studies per 12-hour shift
• Experience with Epic and McKesson PACS for charting and image management
• Able to operate both GE and Toshiba CT scanners and float between machines if needed
• Able to start and troubleshoot IVs for emergency department patients
• Provide your own radiation badge for the assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography techniques including CTA, Body CT, and Neuro CT
• Proficiency with PACS workflows and Epic electronic charting
• Hands-on experience with GE and Toshiba CT systems
• IV starts and IV troubleshooting in an emergency/ED environment
• Comfort working night/graveyard shifts and handling trauma/ER cases
• Familiarity with department protocols and ability to follow radiology safety standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills when coordinating with radiologists and ED staff
