Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality critical care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Provide direct patient care in the ICU and manage hemodynamic monitoring and complex interventions
• Communicate clinical changes, abnormal results, and trends to physicians and the care team promptly
• Coordinate and guide patient and family teaching to support recovery and discharge planning
• Document care clearly and accurately in MEPIC EMR to maintain continuity and compliance
• Supervise and mentor other nursing personnel during your shift while maintaining standards of care
• Respond quickly and confidently to changes in patient condition and emergent situations

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license (state-specific) — required
• BLS and ACLS certifications — required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting, with critical care/ICU experience
• MEPIC EMR experience — required
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required (per site checklist)
• CCRN (Critical Care RN) certification — preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters — preferred per site requirements
• Ability to pass required health screenings and competency exams (drug screen, TB, immunizations, Prime assessments)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and application of the nursing process
• Care planning, implementation, and evaluation in critical care settings
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of cardiac/physiologic data
• Direct patient care skills for ICU-level acuity
• Patient and family education with strong communication skills
• Proficiency with MEPIC EMR documentation and workflows
• Competency in rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology relevant to ICU care
• Infection control practices and adherence to hospital policy
