Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate GE and Toshiba CT scanners to perform high-quality CT imaging including CTA, body and neuro studies
- Perform clinical assessments and collaborate with ED staff to prioritize ER-type scans efficiently
- Start and troubleshoot IVs when needed for non-working lines and ensure proper contrast administration
- Document imaging and patient care accurately in EPIC and McKesson PACS
- Maintain radiation safety practices, including proper use and handling of your personal rad badge
- Communicate findings and coordinate with in-house radiologists during daytime coverage and with on-call radiology as needed
- Support department workflow by covering alternate scanners/rooms when equipment issues arise
Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- Washington State radiology license required (Wa State Dept of Health)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience (posting lists 2 years of experience as a standard preference)
- Comfortable with emergency department/trauma imaging and high-volume 12-hour shifts
- Ability to operate GE and Toshiba CT equipment and use PACS/EPIC charting systems
Education
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program or equivalent
- ARRT (CT) certification and BLS required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven CT imaging skills including CTA, body and neuro protocols
- Hands-on experience with PACS (McKesson) and EPIC electronic charting
- IV insertion and IV troubleshooting skills for contrast administration
- Radiation safety knowledge and consistent rad badge usage
- Ability to work independently on evening/weekend/overnight shifts and respond within call response times
