Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting
- Assess and monitor complex patients, interpreting data and acting decisively
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and titrate drips per protocols
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families, offering clarity and compassion during stressful times
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact RN as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and emergency response skills
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of critical care principles and best practices
- Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway care
- Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
- Proficient in IV therapy, central line care, and infusion pump management
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-education abilities
