Shift Type: 3x12 Day shifts, 07:00 AM - 7:30 PM (typical schedule: three 12-hour day shifts per week; schedule varies with intermittent weekend coverage; block scheduling available upon request)

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert bedside care for neonates including extremely preterm infants (23–24 weeks gestation)
- Manage complex respiratory support: CPAP/BiPAP, AC/PC/SIMV modes, high-frequency ventilators and oscillators
- Administer and monitor blood and blood products safely and accurately
- Care for central lines/PICC lines and manage IV therapy including syringe pumps
- Perform neonatal dosage calculations and administer emergency neonatal medications when needed
- Implement therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket) protocols and monitor neurological status
- Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonatal surgeries as part of the perioperative team
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and float to nearby campuses when staffing requires
- Document accurately in the electronic health record (Epic preferred) and support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (compact licenses honored at Swedish facilities)
- Minimum 3 years of NICU experience (note: for auto-offer hardstop — minimum of 2 years at Level III NICU or 1 year at Level IV NICU is required)
- Current BLS and NRP certifications preferred
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in NICU settings
- Comfort with attending high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgical care
- Ability and willingness to float to Issaquah, Edmonds, or Pediatrics/NBN as needed
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — compact licenses accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of neonatal ventilator management including high-frequency vents and oscillators
- Skilled in CPAP/BiPAP and advanced respiratory support for neonates
- Proficient with blood/blood products administration and central line care
- Competent with feeding tube placement/management and gavage feeds
- Experience using syringe pumps and other neonatal-specific equipment
- Fluent in neonatal dosage calculations and emergency medication protocols
- Familiarity with Epic charting and block scheduling workflows
