Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the care team
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity and comfort
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Document care thoroughly and accurately in resident charts and reports
- Observe for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential in good standing
- T-LNA (Training LNA) accepted or relevant LNA certification as listed
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Comfortable working in long-term care or similar settings; travel assignment adaptability
- Professional, compassionate communication skills and a strong team orientation
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on resident care skills and attention to detail
- Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
- Clear, respectful communication with residents, families and team members
- Reliable documentation and charting practices
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Infection control, safe lifting and transfer techniques
