Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; rotation: one week with four 12-hour shifts (48 hours) followed by one week with three 12-hour shifts (36 hours). Day shift schedule.

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, physicians, and families to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record system
• Support safe admissions, discharges, and transfers with attention to detail
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team culture

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in North Carolina required
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (diploma or certificate)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Local candidates only (position is open to employees within commuting distance)

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or certificate required
• Active LPN license in North Carolina

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care and dressing changes
• Patient assessment and vital sign interpretation
• Knowledge of infection control standards and precautions
• Comfort with electronic medical records and charting
• Time management and prioritization on 12-hour shifts
• Effective teamwork and clear clinical communication
