Shift Type: Scheduled any M-F as a 4x10 day schedule, 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM (Day shift). Includes on-call: 7 days/month with one weekend per month (Fri-Sun PM) plus one day/week on-call.

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional peri-procedural nursing care in the cath lab and interventional radiology environments, prioritizing patient safety and comfort
- Assist, scrub and circulate during a wide range of cardiac, neuro and vascular procedures including PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion and cerebral angiography
- Perform and document Epic charting accurately and timely to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
- Monitor procedural sedation and manage hemodynamic and dysrhythmia events with confidence and clinical judgment
- Prepare, manage and troubleshoot IV therapy, central access and blood product administration during procedures
- Adhere to radiation and laser safety protocols while supporting imaging-guided interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — respiratory, radiology, pharmacy and transport — to coordinate excellent patient outcomes
- Participate in the on-call rotation responsibly and respond to emergent procedural needs as required
Qualifications
- Active RN license (California) required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab or IR lab experience in a facility of ~250 beds or larger (hard stop for first-timers)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI
- Epic charting experience required for IR RN; strongly preferred for Cath Lab RN
- Scrub skills preferred — call out if you have strong scrub experience
- Neuro and vascular experience required for IR RN; cath lab experience with vascular cases highly valued
- EP/RCES/RCIS/NIHSS credentials or experience are nice-to-have but not mandatory
- Ability to participate in a call rotation (7 days/month, incl. one weekend per month)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong competency in cath lab and interventional radiology procedures (PCI, left/right heart cath, Impella, TAVR, angioplasty, stent placement)
- Monitoring and managing procedural sedation and emergency medications including vasopressors and antiarrhythmics
- Proficient Epic charting and documentation workflows
- IV therapy skills: central line/PICC care, starting and maintaining IVs, blood product administration
- Familiarity with radiation safety, ACT monitoring, sheath removal and cardioversion
- Comfort working in hybrid OR/EP/diagnostic cath lab settings and supporting complex cases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced procedural environments
- Infection prevention and sterile technique with preference for candidates who can scrub
