Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition, then craft personalized rehab-focused care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with therapists and interdisciplinary team members to support recovery goals
• Document patient progress and changes in the medical record clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families on care plans, safety, and discharge planning
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one promptly
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Experience in rehabilitation nursing or related clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be part of a close-knit rehab team
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts (Wednesday-Friday) and provide consistent, high-quality patient care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring in a rehabilitation setting
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Care planning focused on functional recovery and mobility goals
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Patient and family education techniques
• Team-based care coordination with therapists and support staff
