Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at the facility
- Administer medications and follow physician orders accurately and safely
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and care provided in the chart
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care staff to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about care, treatments, and home health needs
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow facility policies and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working in a long-term care / facility environment; strong bedside skills
- Professional, dependable, and able to communicate effectively with patients and team members
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Wound care basics and ADL assistance
- Electronic medical record (EMR) charting and accurate documentation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
