Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care within the LPN scope
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient status and report changes to the care team promptly
- Document care and assessments clearly in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to support care plans
- Support a safe and clean environment by following infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to educate and reassure
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working overnight shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on Mon-Wed
- Clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic restorative care
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Wound care and safe infection control practices
- Clear clinical documentation and basic EHR familiarity
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently during night shifts
- Professional bedside manner and patient/family education skills
