Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapies to patients with compassion and professionalism
• Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and adjust treatments as directed
• Operate and manage respiratory equipment safely, including oxygen delivery and airway management devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document treatments, patient responses, and clinical observations accurately in the medical record
• Participate in orientation and training activities to stay current with facility protocols and best practices

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) or eligible to obtain licensure
• State respiratory therapist license or eligibility to be licensed in Missouri
• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, patient-centered respiratory care
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program; Bachelor's degree is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care principles, ventilator management, and airway techniques
• Skill in patient assessment, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway suctioning
• Familiarity with monitoring equipment and interpretation of vital respiratory data
• Accurate clinical documentation and basic computer/EMR skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize patient safety
