Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor behavioral health patients with compassion and clinical skill
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Use strong clinical judgment to de-escalate situations and keep patients and staff safe
Document patient interactions and care thoroughly in the electronic record
Participate in orientation and team meetings to support continuity of care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license (ability to practice in New Hampshire required)
Experience or interest in behavioral health nursing
BLS certification required or obtained upon hire
Ability to pass standard background checks and required health screenings
Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with patients and Cottage Hospital staff

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); equivalent nursing education considered

Knowledge & Skills

Behavioral health assessment and crisis intervention techniques
Medication administration and patient safety practices
De-escalation strategies and therapeutic communication
Basic familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
