Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess and monitor patient status using advanced cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring
• Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips and other ICU-level therapies with precision
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and communicate changes effectively during handoffs
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligibility for Hawaii licensure required)
• Prior ICU experience required; strong critical care background preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient loads and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in critical care assessment and advanced monitoring
• Experience with ventilator management and titration of vasoactive medications
• Comfortable with arterial lines, central lines and other invasive monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting and accurate documentation
• Calm under pressure, strong clinical judgment and excellent teamwork skills
