Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced environment
Administer treatments, medications, and interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary ED team to coordinate care
Document patient care, assessments, and clinical changes clearly in the EHR
Maintain a calm, professional presence during critical and high-acuity situations
Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and ED workflows

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure or compact eligibility)
Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and PALS preferred
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a high-energy setting

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency nursing best practices
Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
IV therapy, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
Calm decision-making under pressure and effective teamwork
